LED Wall Pack Fixtures
The most popular outdoor lighting fixture has become even more popular after its upgrade to LED technology. Our LED wall pack fixtures offer the same look and feel as traditional wall packs that you love. They retain the same housing design and size as well as glass lens to prevent yellowing, but the introduction of LED technology has made these fixtures extremely energy efficient and long-lasting. Some of our fixtures include integrated photocontrols and light color changing switches for added flexibility.
Traditional vs. Full-Cutoff Wall Packs
When choosing a wall pack fixture for your location it is important to consider the difference between traditional (semi-cutoff) and full-cutoff wall packs. Traditional wall packs are the more common of the two styles. These fixtures have LEDs and a lens that are positioned to give the fixture forward throw in addition to its downward throw. This provides excellent light distribution in areas where you need it the most: side of buildings, warehouses, parking lots. However, this results in uplight which can undesirable in some applications or restricted in Dark Sky cities. If you are subject to Dark Sky compliance or perhaps you don’t want forward light throw then full cut-off wall packs would be your choice. Full-cutoff wall packs have no uplight.
Photocontrols
Photocells give fixtures dusk-to-dawn functionality. This means that the fixture will only draw power from the circuit when the ambient light around the fixture is below a certain threshold. Adding a photocell gives you fixture level control versus relying on a circuit timer. For wall pack fixtures, photocontrols can be installed in the various knockouts of the fixture. Some fixtures come with pre-installed photocells that can be optionally turned on or off.
