LED Wafer Downlights

Thin-body LED wafer downlights are light fixtures with integrated LED technology that simply snap right into your drywall ceiling. These fixtures are some of the simplest to install. They are ideal for new construction and for retrofit applications as they can fit within existing light cans or into any ceiling cutout that you can feed power to. Each fixture has spring clips that snap into drywall of varying thickness and flanges to cover less-than-ideal ceiling cutouts. Most models are IC rated for coming into direct contact with building insulation and are wet location rated for bathroom and soffit applications. To be able to have such a low-profile design, most wafer downlights have a remote LED driver box that can be tucked away in low-height ceilings. It is within this remote driver box that most color or power select models carry their switching capabilities.
